Thanks for your support for the last three years! We look forward to seeing everyone at our 4th annual LCCT Paddle for the People!

2011 Paddle Boat Race!

Paddle boats were out in full force on the Credit River today for the annual Paddle for the People.
Teams of two hit the water near the Port Credit Legion to not only raises funds for the Lakeshore Corridor Community Team — a non-profit community group that supports individuals in need from the Port Credit, Lorne Park, Clarkson and Lakeview areas — but also have a chance at winning the commemorative trophy.
Sponsored by businesses and members of the community, teams were required to raise $275 to register.
The fee included a barbecue banquet dinner, live entertainment and a chance to win prizes.

Lakeshore Corridor Community Team LCCT

The LCCT helps people who want to make a better life connect with the resources they need to get started. By doing this, we help them establish a solid foundation from which to maintain their own lives and to contribute to their community.

Many people have experienced life altering events and need to remake a stable home and community connections.  LCCT is a ground level resource helping to make this happen.

We reach out to the local community when people have household needs like furniture, warm clothing for their kids and cooking equipment.  

If they need to source the basics of life like shelter, food, jobs and counseling, we refer them to the appropriate services.

By doing this we help the Lakeshore Corridor be a better place for everyone.
